Atlanta Falcons Owner, and Co-Founder of Home Depot, Officially Served with Divorce Papers

|

It has been more than a year since billionaire Arthur Blank, owner of the Atlanta Falcons and co-founder of The Home Depot, has been separated from his wife, Stephanie Blank. Although the couple has been estranged since October 2011, Blank's wife of 16 years just recently served him with divorce papers which she filed in Fulton County, Georgia. According to news reports Mrs. Blank filed for divorce based on grounds that the marriage is irretrievably broken. In the state of Georgia, this type of divorce is also known as a no-fault divorce.

In most cases, the two parties settle all issues including spousal support, property division, child custody, child support and more, prior to going to court. The Blank divorce papers state that both parties have come to a confidential settlement agreement as to all aspects of the divorce, including coming up with a "comprehensive parenting plan" designed to ensure both parents are able to play an active role in the lives of their three young children. Filing for divorce can be an extremely confusing and difficult experience, regardless of whether you are involved in a high net worth divorce or not.
